2022 AGM
The 2022 AGM has been scheduled for Tuesday 8 March.
Venue: we’re delighted that Covid is now such that we can meet in person; and that Jenny Morris has made her wonderful Yumcious restaurant in the (new) Cape Quarter available to us. We’ve organised some snacks; and there’ll be a cash bar, so bring your wallet. Put faces to the names!
Time: We’ll kick off at 6pm and expect to be done by 7.30pm.
Agenda will be made available in due course. It’s at the AGM that the Management Committee for the following year is elected; in order to vote, you need to be a member in good standing.
Please check out our Constitution here.
MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
Most of the current management committee have indicated they are willing to stand again. The candidates for 2022 currently therefore are:
Chair: Spider Clark
Treasurer: Andrew Sharp
Secretary: Heather Parker (not standing again)
Portfolio holders: Deon Redman (Film & Events), WJ Bruwer (Built Environment), Annelien Loots (City), Steve Harley (Communications), Mary Bailey (Social & Community), Zita Joffe (Membership).
We also have a noise portfolio, and a roads and parking portfolio. Most of the Mancom member double up on more than one portfolio.
We are looking for some new blood, new ideas, and new energy. If you are willing to stand for election to Mancom, or if you would like to nominate someone, please contact Spider or Zita before the AGM and they’ll fill you in on how things work.
See you at Yumcious on the 8th!
