The De Waterkant Civic Association (DWCA) is managed by a volunteer-based Management Committee (ManCom), elected annually from within the community. ManCom provides oversight, guidance, and support to the DWCA, ensuring the organisation runs smoothly and effectively.
In addition to its advisory role, ManCom handles the DWCA’s administrative and operational responsibilities, including formal registrations, organising and documenting meetings, maintaining communications, managing finances, attending relevant forums, and liaising with the City of Cape Town on public events and municipal matters.
DWCA members can reach out to ManCom for assistance with understanding City processes and protocols. In cases of disputes, queries, or other community-related matters, members may also request access to the DWCA’s contact book, which ManCom maintains to keep track of key contacts in the public sector.
For further assistance, please refer to the contact details for each post.
